I was reading today's Vancouver Province and every Sunday they list films being shot in or around Vancouver, and one of them is The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe.  All it said was it will star Jason Patric and Corey Haim and it will be shot in Vancouver and along the North Shore. I have no idea if Corey Feldman or Diane Wiest will return, it just stated that Jason and Haim will star.  Anyways I loved the original, I wonder how this one will be.

Even though The Lost Boys is one of those classic 1980's movies that shouldn't be messed with, I kinda like that they're bringing back the original characters.

Even though his character died, Kiefer should be in it as well. He pretty much carried that movie imo.

News like this always fills me with dread, what if they ruin it?  I love the lost boys, it is a great memory from my youth and I just hope this doesn't turn out cack!

Jason Patric and Cory Haim returning? Aren't they a little old now? I gather they're reprising their previous roles but I don't think they should have starring roles this time around. Maybe they have kids or something to carry on their work. Anyway, some movies are just past their time (*cough* Rush Hour *cough*). I think this is one of them.

Also, I doubt Feldman will return. I heard he's a total self-absorbed prick nowadays. He'll probably demand more money than the producers are willing to give him.

I don't think Keiffer would do this movie.  He's successful all over again.  The Lost Boys would be a step down for him.

I agree, Phil.

I'm checking out IMDBpro, and it seems like this is a Straight-to-Video. I'm pretty sure Keiffer wouldn't do that.

I find it unbelievable that in this day and age studios need to do remakes or half baked sequels for old films. There's more information available about the craft of writing than ever before and all your research can be done at the touch of a button, from the comfort of your home. This generation should be producing the greatest writers the world has ever seen, but it isn't. In fact, we're going backwards.
