I just finished reading The Killer Inside Me last week and thought it was brilliant. So I was happy to discover that Michael Winterbottom is filming a big screen adaptation of it which is due for release next year and will star Casey Affleck. Ever since seeing Gone Baby Gone and Lonesome Jim I've become a huge fan of Affleck's, so I'm eagerly awaiting this one. Affleck plays Lou Ford a well respected deputy sheriff in a West Texas town who also happens to be a serial killer. The way he unravels as the story unfolds is brilliant. Not because of what he does but because of the way he interprets it and changes as the story goes on. I only hope the movie can do the book justice.  It also stars Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson, Bill Pullman and Simon Baker.
