I for one can't wait for this one to be made.  But what's it based on, does anyone know?

Is it based on this?  The Bourne Legacy

Or something different altogether?

Date due: Summer 2011

I'd assume it'd be based on the last book. I want to know if it's the final installment or not because I've been holding back on buying the DVDs until I can buy the whole series in a box set.

I've held back on other film series and now I'm going to have to give my Bourne box set away.  I too hope it's the last but if it's brilliant there's bound to be another instalment.

Now I liked the last one but let's admit that it was all over the place and the ending was awful. I don't know about another one...

Isle 10- A series I'm currently writing with my friend Adam and it will go into production soon. Think The Office meets 10 Items or Less.

No, let's not. Let's completely disagree with what you just said. The ending awful? Ridiculous. I think it's a great ending. A truly Great ending, in fact. The shot of him floating on the water gives the trilogy a symmetry by being echoing the first shot of Identity...the moment when Bourne quotes back what Clive Owen said to him at the end of the first film....how the important line in the news report says one thing and means something completely different to Nikki and us...and the great way the Moby song cuts in at the PERFECT moment...brilliant. And what a song it is too.

All over the place? What do you mean? If you're talking about multiple locations, then sure. But I don't see how featuring exciting sequences in three continents and five countries can count as a criticism. The Bourne Ultimatum is a film that I hold up as an example of how to make an exciting-yet-character-driven action film, AND how to satisfyingly resolve a trilogy (which, if the evidence is to be believed, isn't easy to do).

I too, though, am not looking forward to a fourth film. But then I'm not really sure Christopher Nolan should try to top The Dark Knight with another Batman movie (especially if he tries to recast The Joker, which he kind of has to do)...some things just have a right time to end, regardless of how financially successful or critically acclaimed they were. Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass were so against it, too - Damon said he wasn't interested in another film, and Greengrass joked that if he made a fourth he'd call it "The Bourne Redundancy". So why have they come back? If the answer is colossal sums of money (which it probably is), then is that really the right basis to try and add a fourth entry to a series that has really tied up its main storylines? Although the past relationship between Nikki and Jason is yet to be explored, I suppose - that could be interesting...

Guess who's back? Back again?

In all fairness, Aaron's entitled to his opinion - but, I also disagree.

The third installment was far superior to the other two, IMO. The ending montage was exceptionally good, and the use of Moby kicking in was perfect - the raw power of connecting the imagery and music articulated perfectly.

Greengrass elevated himself to one of the top guys with this film. I mean, I am no action junkie, but this set the benchmark for all action movies to come.

Yeah, the relationship between Nikki and Jason could be very compelling as a basis for the fourth. If anyone delivers a good fourth film, it will be Greengrass.

At the end of the day, if it is utter tripe, then it doesn't change how good the third is.
