Having read the original novel by Hunter S. Thompson, this summer, I am eagerly anticipating the film version of Thompson's first novel.  Anyone else?

i've been really excited for this movie! i love amber heard, i haven't read the book but i've heard a lot about it, should make a good movie!

I'm glad to find someone who is as excited about this movie as I am.  I just happened to find the book at a used book sale in the spring and finally read it this summer, talk about good timing.

What impressed me about the book was that the characters really stuck with you. It was more of a character driven book, not plot driven.  From what I've read, the characters are based on real people and the story itself is based on Thompson's experience in  Puerto Rico.

I would highly recommend this book. It is one of my favorites.

My only complaint is that so far they have not added Yeamon to the cast or are not planning to have an actor play this character.  I find that disappointing. Hopefully they haven't cast him yet. But if they've started filming, I don't know what to think.

I also hope that BDT makes a cameo in this film. (B. Del Toro).
