What clever marketing!

I don't like Abrams but I do like Area 51 mythology -- and explosions -- so I expect I'll see this one.

Wonder how this one will be filmed. Rumors before the trailer was released mentioned footage that was shot with 8 mm film but that doesn't seem to be the case here.

I'm having a hard time nailing down my expectations for this film. The first trailer reminded me of Cloverfield which made me shrug my shoulders. This new trailer has me really excited though. The look and feel are making me nostalgic.

It's Spielberg and Abrams. So I'm in no matter what.

That second trailer looks sweet.

I can't live the buttoned-down life like you. I want it all. The dizzying highs, the terrifying lows, the creamy middles. Sure, I may offend some of the blue bloods with my cocky stride and musky odors. Oh, I'll never be the darling of the so-called "city fathers," who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards and talk about what's to be done with this Homer Simpson?

Can't wait for this. The new trailer gave me chills. Has a wonderful E.T./Flight of the Navigator kinda vibe.

Abrams and Reeves are friends from their childhood. Childhood neighbors right?  I also remember seeing an interview with Reeves for one of his films, maybe it was LMI and the interviewer asked him about Abrams and Super 8 and I thought Reeves said he was producing with JJ and Speilberg, and that it was going to be a fantastic film. Yet I don't see Reeves name listed in the credits anywhere.  And I've looked for the Reeves interview where it's mentioned and no luck in finding it. So maybe I'm just confused.

I hope if it's a monster type in that crate car, that it really is a monster. One of my friends said "watch it's E.T." but I would think that would be not only poor on Abrams and Spielberg, it wouldn't really make sense would it?  Besides if it is a monster and it's E.T. it sounds quite menacing from the trailer, so it would have to be E.T. on steroids or something... lol.

In any case they've got me curious and that's the point... to get the butts in the seats and keep em there for the whole show.
