News is that Stephen Fry has been cast as Sherlock's brother, Mycroft Holmes. I am well chuffed about that, I think Stephen Fry is just excellent and is a great piece of casting.

Reading that news and then Rendevous' thread about House got me thinking about another inspired piece of casting. There is talk about Brad Pitt or Daniel Day Lewis being considered for the Moriati role, but what about Hugh Laurie? Fry and Laurie back together would be sensational and think that could be an excellent role for him.

Good but what's the logic, Sherlock Holmes in the movie behaves like Robert Downey Jr!
Franchise need a recast, or reboot!

I doubt that'll happen since Downey sort of won a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes...
