There was a rumor that Tom Cruise will be playing as Jasper Maskelyn, the British magician who helped the allies to defeat Hitler's most famous Generals with his illusion magic during WWII.  Anyone know if this is true?

Is there any movies or short films about Jasper Maskelyn?  Has anyone written a script?  I couldn't find any.

Would it be marketable and profitable from this kind of film?
