This is one of my favorites. Hans Zimmer is my favorite composer, he's done all of my favorite scores (Black Hawk Down, Mission: Impossible - 2). Nick-Glennie Smith is excellent as well (We Were Soldiers).

i concur with you both.  Zimmer delivered quite nicely.
i think the Rock, and this is merely my opinion, was his best piece so far just 'cause it was so catchy and pumping.  the scenes where they're running through the Rock's underbelly always comes to mind when i hear it.

The Chase - The Rock is such a cool song...pretty long, but well worth it.  almost sounds a little like the Halo song for three seconds.

plus, Black Hawk Down had a more like serene and sad feel to it, excellently done i may add, but not nearly as connotative to action as the Rock.

The Rock is that film with Nick Cage right? If so it had a score? I was watching it the other week on city where they cut out half the good scenes and was so into the film I didn't notice music or anything

I must have a deafness for scores when in tune to the film, I watched Godfather 2 and after realizing there goes another 2 and a half hours of my life that I'll never get back I don't even remember the music over the film itself
