The Black Keys are a two piece band, consisting of Dan Auerbach (guitar, Vocals) and Patrick Carney (drums). They play the blues/ blues rock music with a fuzz effect which is always awesome.

I own Thickfreakness and Rubber Factory which are two great albums, more so Rubber Factory. They have a great sound, especially for a two piece band. I listen to bands like White Stripes and just get annoyed at the emptiness of their music, Jack "coke" White may play a Les Paul but that doesnt mean it replaces a bass.

With Black Keys its different because Auerbach's soulful voice makes the music full, but i wouldn't complain if he hired a few string instruments -- does wonder for most songs.

All in all a great band and I've ordered their new album 'Magic Potion', so i should be getting that soon. Anyone else like The Black Keys?

EDIT: The also did a Beatles cover on their first album which is not suprising, so many bands cover the beatles, their are 3 adverts circulating now with Beatles songs; Revolution, Hello Goodbye and All My Lovin'... i think. The Black Keys cover She Said, She Said, off the great Revolver album.
