At midnight Saturday -- and you have until midnight the following Saturday to complete your script.

Hey, it's my tiny, little IMDb!

The script reader thing is nothing to write home about. It's helpful to hear something read the script out loud while you read it yourself (great for catching typos), but since the computer has no emotion, the mystique wears off quickly. Final Draft 7 comes with this feature ad I've used it a couple of times for fun, but given that I haven't cracked that open in months, you can get the idea of how much fun it really is.

I, too, having Final Draft, have "listened" to my scripts -- the computer generated voice is awful; comical, really.

Actual voice actors, though, would be different. I like the idea. Still, I wonder what, if any, value, in terms of selling a script, such a service could provide. Reading is always faster than listening. That said, I doubt that professional readers would take the time to *listen* to a script.  To me, it seems a novelty.

Still, to hear an actual person, other than oneself, read your script, could be infomative.

Just my opinion,

Seth

Quoted from Don

There are absolutely no excuses for not entering the Challenge.  Some of the better excuses have been:

"I have explosive diarrea" - Jeez, you are already spending most of your day sitting down, how hard would it be to have a pad and pencil in there with you"

"My doctoral thesis is due the same day" - Get your priorities straight!  There are half a dozen websites that will get you that Doctoral sheepskin, but only one chance in your lifetime to participate in the August 2007 OWC.

"My dog ate it" - Ate what?!?  You don't even know the theme, yet.

My dog ate my explosive diarrhea

Beat that.
