#4: Philip Baker Hall

Typically cast as soft-spoken  and solemn characters, Hall brings an element of street smarts to his roles.

Recommended Role: Sydney - Hard Eight

#13: Henry Gibson

Henry Gibson has the kind of acting range you don't normally see, ranging from soft-spoken murderer to comically over-the-top Nazi to rich, poetry-quoting bar patron.

Recommended Role: Dr. Werner Klopek - The 'Burbs

Philip Baker Hall. Many good performances. Even a Seinfeld episode.

PBH. Must check out The Burbs, only know Gibson from Magnolia and Nashville. Great in both.

Henry Gibson is awesome, but Philip Baker Hall stole Magnolia and owned Sydney (Hard Eight). Going with PBH.
