We've all read books we thought we were going to hate but ended up really enjoying.
One I read was "Fight Club". It's a brilliant book.
Anyone else?

Empire of the East was a lot better than I expected since inside the cover it says better than Lord of the Rings.

Same with the book Star Trek DS9 A Stitch in Time, both surprisingly better than expected.

I read the entire Series of Unfortunate Events Books as it stood over a year before the movie came out. I was drawn in by the dust cover and it's amusing tirade on the back. I wasn't sure what to expect from it especially since I had to journey to the Juvenile Fiction part of the library to find it. I could be taking a chance on a cheesy kid's book with a clever cover, but after the first one, I was totally hooked. I never cease to recommend it to anyone who wanted to know what to buy from the school book fairs. Awesome, awesome, awesome!

Hmmm, I guess I'll have to read "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy", now.
