Anyone else read or reading these? A new look at the Robin Hood legend, told from the point of view of the minstrel warrior Alan Dale. Very violent but well told. The author works in different things from history into each novel - the Holy Grail, The Crusades etc - but he does a lot of research and most events are based on truth.

I'm currently on the 6th one The Iron Castle. I'm pretty fussy with my books - have been known to read for 200 pages then give up if the story goes up shit creek - and my wife can't believe I've read 6 books from the one series lol!

Would make a good mini series and there are plans for that.
