Just finished listening to 'Project Hail Mary' by Andy Weir (The Martian) and narrated by Ray Porter: "Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it.... "

A truly original sci-fi adventure that is exciting, funny, and quite surprising turns throughout. The narrator earned himself a slot on my favorites list too. A high recommend! I'm confident this will be adapted to the screen in short time.

I've read a couple of Andy Weir novels - The Martian and Artemis.  I've liked them both.  I'll give this a go.

best,

Don

Watched The Martian, but never read the book. I seldom read a book after I watch the film, but often do the reverse. I did read Artemis though and it was okay, but I'm totally up for checking out Project Hail Mary.

I just read a post that Ryan Gosling is taking the lead role for the movie slated for a March 2026 release. Perfect casting.

I just finished that book a couple of weeks ago! I thought it was pretty good, and I would check out the film. Being a Gosling and sci-fi fan... I'm also curious to see what Rocky will look and sound like.
