So I have noticed that the Anime board is a waste of a Unproduced Screenplay Discussion topic when it could instead be called Series Board which is where all of the series ie Banana Chan, Lunchroom and all of the others could go so if someone wanted to read a series

So instead of having a board called Anime I think it should be changed into Series or something along those lines because if you look all of the screenplays on that board are series already

I agree, there should be a topic specifically for ongoing series, but I don't know if it should replace the Anime topic. Then again, I don't really care since I read neither series nor Anime scripts.

Also, and this has been mentioned before, I believe there should be a logline topic where we can discuss loglines for scripts not yet posted. There are many people who can't write a decent logline to save their lives, so this topic would help them develop one that would get their script more attention, which I assume everybody would want.

Well there are a lot of boards that can do that screenwriting class and work in progress if someone posts there logline and says critique it, I mean we all could

The anime board is useless, if this board isn't going to happen i say get rid of it anyways because there's only 5 or so series in it and it's just one of those boards that are a waste of space Don could use for things that people need

I like the board and it's probably gotten my screenplay in there a lot more attention than if it was on a normal board but the fact remains it's basically a series board as it is

I don't care whatever happens if it stays or if it changes, it wont effect me or anyone probably I just thought I'd say something

I know I'm slightly new here (slightly as in join six weeks ago but have barely posted as of yet) but I have got an idea.

How about you create a forum in the unproduced scripts called: "Miscellaneous". Then you place the Anime and Western scripts in there. Not only does it mean there's one less forum, it also beats away the problem of other genres that may appear.

Then you should create a forum called: "Television". This could then be the forum for serials and series as these series were intended for a television audience. I fully support the series forum because I've got a series coming in about... Hmmm... A few days...  

I have another series coming out soon and it doesn't fit in any specific genre, the best genre to write in at the moment is probably horror, plus if you just look throught the board there are probably more series than I ever thought but I'd also never know because they're buried under other stuff

I guess you can blame the writers of the screenplays that nobody reads because they don't care enough to ask anyone to read it or even make an effort to place it in work in progress before finishing

Correct, it was my birthday last Saturday (23rd)...

I thought that Other was for the stuff that was for stuff produced in 2003, but on closer inspection it isn't. You should place Anime and Westerns in there and have a serial section and calling it "Television". I'm really gunning for a serial section for a slightly selfish purpose, but I believe television is just as a significant format to write screenplays for as film.

Hope you had a good birthday last week and I agree with you on the television screenplay stuff, I didn't bring the idea up for selfish reasons but the idea would help a lot of series and wouldn't actually benefit you specifically because there are a lot of series floating around in which yours would get buried

Well I'm the type of man where if there was a forum that only benefitted me, I wouldn't want it... That spotlight would be way to bright for me to handle!  

Let's create a proposition for a series thread and then let's vote for it!  

Really there is no vote, it's Don's vote that counts. If he doesn't want it than there isn't going to be one.

Just give it a few days and see what happens

I agree -- and want it. There are a lot of virtual series that get buried within the many scripts on the site, so hopefully something like this might help with easier navigation.

I've created a new board for the discussion of series.  However, I've kept the Anime thread.  Please note that I will not automatically put all the discussions into the series category unless asked to do so.  Also, writers of a series is more than welcome to have the discussion of their script either in the genre category or the series category.
