I think that there should be a new feature in the submit a script for when people submit screenplays they have to give there e mail address and member name for simplyscripts so that when people read the screenplays you actually know who's screenplay you are reading

The way it is now with all the name and the member names being different it's just annoying, plus this way it makes it a lot easier to know which member posted the script and than when somebody reads the script they have somebody to send the review to because most of the time they are probably off on another site so than if they never reply they and there scripts can be sent packing to triggerstreet.

That last part was a personal view but I believe that would help get more scripts read and reviewed and also help people get the reviews that could mold the next draft of the screenplay

I totally agree, its hard when you dont know who's script it is, and ur looking for someone imparticulars, and you know them by their username, not by their real names.

I like the idea of the member name thing.

And what about having links to other scripts by that writer?

I like the idea as well. It would add a bit of continuity between the scripts and the board.

You can do that by doing a script search on the writer's name.

Plus you can find out who uses this site but doesn't plan to be a member, I mean it is my belief that a screenplay should only be aloud on the board if that person is a member. The site maybe the scripts can be on there from anybody in the world but on this message board with people who care about having there work read it should only be people who spend the time being a member at least once a month that reap all the benefits

Mr. D said it best when balt said he wasn't around that in fact he is around, at least he is around. Some people post a script and than go off to something like triggerstreet and forget this place all the while taking away from members who actually care about the work they post that has fallen down under all the crap that the writer has forgotten about

But that's for another day

I tend to agree. It would be good if you had to become a member before submitting a screenplay. Atleast we would have most members stick around to hear comments about the script they submit...And it would stop some of the poorer scripts from being dumped on here. When I talk about poorer scripts, I'm not talking about the beginners who can stay and learn things, but some of the people who dump unfinished, unthought work here just to get a response only to vanish and never be seen again. Triggerstreet seems to be the big thing around here at the moment, but to be honest I've learned a lot more from you folk than anywhere else on the net.

Ofourse, this is all hearsay because Don has ultimate rule over us all.

Oh don't get me wrong I think triggerstreet is not as good as it's been built up to be, the message board that is. It's nothing big and has nothing better than this board accept a lot less control.

Plus the fact you can't submit work without your address and phone number, like that's ever going to happen. The joining system over there is horrible and they ask to much information.

I'd just like to know that I can leave a review and the writer will get it. Right now I've sent a lot of reviews and haven't heard anything, not a "yeah, I get how this was wrong" or "Yeah" anything at all that tells me they recieved it

At least if we know who they are as a member we can send them a pm instead of waiting three years for nothing. It's really easy to tell who is a member and whose just here to post there scripts and go back to triggerstreet and others. I can pick out about 30 of them off the top of my head

I agree on trigerstreet or whatever the hell it's called... it's not that great.  The pages are too littered with just junk and high color art, the message boards are as tacky and useful as Done Deals or a Japanese handy man without his hands.

I wasn't impressed and I can thank whale or Mr. D one of the two for wasting my time over there... I won't be going back.

Why did I come in here again...?   Oh, yeah, Hey Wes how's it goin'?

Good thoughts~

The only reason I brought that site up was to anger the loyal members from there to say something and in turn admit to using this site for a dumping ground and not as a way to get better or chat

I think just the regulars of this web site should be the only ones aloud to post screenplays on the message board, there are like 100 regulars and a few that come by once in awhile which is still good. Like FS Kessler, one of the originals who still comes by once in awhile. That's healthy because he is respected around here.

But I still stick by my original comment about just needing like an extra option in the submit a script link where you have to give your member name, even if you put it beside your real name. Makes reading something so much easier when you know that person comes to the site and isn't just one of those people who ruin it for everyone else

That's up to Don, which is why I only said "I think..." instead of there should be or I'm demanding, just a suggestion

Hey, Guys.  I've modified the Submit Your Script link to give submitters the option of putting in their discussion board username.
