I live outside the US and register scripts with the WGA all the time.

https://www.wgawregistry.org/webrss/dataentry.asp

The menu lets you choose between "social security number" "driver's licence" or "other". Choose "other" and use your greek ID number.

I don't think that should be a problem. Maybe you can type only the numbers and leave out the greek letters. E-mail them with your concerns, I'm sure they'll give you a solution.

Hi,
I am in the UK and registered my script with WGA. I contacted them and they confirmed I could select the "other" option. Get in touch, you'll get a swift reply.

There's always the Library of Congress...  The better choice in my opinion.

Hi Phil,
Interesting that you say the Library of Congress is a better choice. Can I ask why?

Thanks,

Paul

Registering your script with the WGA costs $20 and last for only five years.  After that, you have to pay again to re-register or they dispose of your file.  Registering with the Library of Congress costs $35 dollars (if you file online) and lasts for seventy years after you die.
