In particular, I find this especially intriguing as a concept and a base to write something: "Maybe we'll scan our consciousnesses into computers and live inside them as software, forever, virtually."

Rick, I like the look of that book - will give it a go.

Screen, yeah, that one is not really where I am thinking. My own views are a little more whimsical on the subject, I think. Less Sci-Fi and more focused on the eternal life, as viewed in 'Vanilla Sky'. 'Lawnmower' didn't have the focus, for me. Decent enough film, but I don't think it's emotional in the way I relate to that particular quote.
