Obviously Vine is nothing new, but watching the Best of the Year compilation, it struck me how the opportunity to make 6-second short films is something I would bounce around the SS community.

Do you think you can tell a story in 6 seconds? Do you think it's possible to write scripts for 6 seconds micro-shorts? Do you think it's worthwhile for a 6 second challenge (6SC) to exist? As much for fun as finnessing storytelling skills.

This being the kind of thing I'm thinking about: http://tribecafilm.com/blogs/winners-6-second-films-vine-competition

Just curious with the app/and others like it being a very easy way to make micro-shorts on nothing but creativity.

And for fellow i-Padders, Storehouse is an extension of that in being a platform to tell stories and make short films in fairly innovative ways.

I guess, at heart, I'm saying, is there an appetite for this type of thing on the site?

I'd certainly give it a go one day if an opportunity arose. 6 seconds can be a long time if utilised correctly.

Absolutely. So easy to just film something and share as well. Could be very cool.

There's some really good stuff on there - it lends itself to comedy very well. I've been sniggering like a little kid at some of the stuff I've been watching.

There is youtube channel called 5 second films. Some of them are funny and they work.

Interesting to see this topic. I've been really intrigued by Vine lately, especially the ones of people accepting challenges and doing batshit-crazy stunts for the sake of a few likes and revines.

I've been working on a short called The 13th Vine about a high school kid's collection of "challenge" videos leading to his accidental death.

So, to answer your question, yes, there is absolutely an appetite for this sort of thing.
