The much awaited John Lewis Xmas ad has (not) hit the spot.

These are awesome!  My fav is the John Lewis ad with its vibe of "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe".  Does your post hint that you don't care for it?  And the last one is so sweet, but I was thinking, who has Yellow Pages anymore?  Then I saw the date - 1992 LOL.

Very good John!
Maybe the John Lewis Ad didn't hit the spot as I've not seen much of it.
The Tesco ad features my local Market Square. The Xmas tree was set up (in October!) but the FX on the buildings are all CGI.
*Spoiler* They are not really made of gingerbread.

I appreciate Christmas is over but I only just stumbled upon this thread while trying to ascertain if I can search for a screenplay by authors name. I'm still stumped. Anyway, I thought the 2024 John Lewis Christmas ad was phenomenal - I usually find them cringeworthy. The music by Richard Ashcroft was a superb choice. As for actress, Margaret Clunie, I can envisage her is at least one role for me - the spook in Das Sperrgebiet.

Screenplays:
The Cruciverbalist •
Skydiver ×
The Bird Feeder ×
Das Sperrgebiet •
Kildare

Shorts:
The Gravy Train •
Sky Goddess
Revenge (Optioned)
Take Me In Your Arms
The Stowaway ×
Big Boys' Games, Big Boys' Rules
Norjak
When Harry Killed Sally
A Nuisance Call • (Purchased)
The Worm That Turned ×
Homeward Bound
The Swap
The Smuggler

Pilots:
Touch and Go
Scotland's Yard
The Filth
