Hey you guys, the screenplay has been picked up and starts filming next month

Congrats! That's awesome news, be sure to update when it is available to watch. I know many here would love to see the script to screen evolution.

Are you at liberty to provide any details? How did you get reads, what was the process of signing the deal like for you, can you let us know the rough budget?

Well, it's low budget of course, about $12,900 last time I checked. It was picked up by a company in Ohio called Shattered Images. The name of it now is "Talk Nerdy To Me".

Bigger than the budget is the fact that other people believed in your script enough to invest a significant amount of their time developing it. It's hard enough to get someone to even read a full script.

I think "Talk Nerdy to Me" is a better title and will broaden the potential audience, although for a micro budget you could have gotten away with the more provocative title. If it was enough to get noticed on the boards, it might have been enough to get noticed in film festivals.

Congrats on getting it produced, mate. Just goes to show that people that nit pick formatting errors really spend too much time on shit that doesn't matter. You got the basics right with a cool story. Good shit.
