Glass Onion by Timothy O. Riley - Drama, Bio - Glass Onion' is a surreal shocking nightmarish take on the John Lennon assassination. If you thought you knew all there is to know about this utterly tragic event 'Glass Onion' will shatter your beliefs. 95 pages - pdf, format
Sorry, I just wanted to get Stevie's blood boiling a little bit there. :-)
Actually, I took a skim through different parts of the script, beginning, middle, and end, and I have to admit... It's a lot like 'Chapter 27' so far. Although, they're both based on the final days of John Lennon, so I guess it'll be impossible to avoid the same exact scenes.
I will take a more thorough read a little later, though, to see if this one can stand out on its own at all.
Nevertheless. Congrats writing a script. It was a very powerful opening, though it could be just because it's such a powerful story in the first place.
Yeah I read the first few pages of this, and will get back to it later. The author knows his subject and gives it a nice feel for the periods shown.
I read the end to see if it was anything new or different but it was just John's murder. Not sure what the writer is going for here. Unless the bulk of it exposes new stuff about a very heavily reported historical event, then it just seems like a straight forward story about John.
But I really liked some of the writing, in particular the dialogue. It felt real some of the stuff John was saying, and, well I guess I should know!
Hopefully the author is around to reply to our comments. I noted that the script seemed to have been originally written in 2004.
Thanks guys for checkin' "Glass Onion" out. I actually got some legs out of this and was even given seed money to finish it but no production deal. I agree, writing this was a bitch and shedding new light on the subject was even bitchier. If one reads the bulk of it though, you'll find lots of strange conspiracy stuff other writers on this subject never touched on...Anyway, thanks.
