I came across the 2006 PAGE International Screenwriting Awards.  It's relatively new, but I was wondering if anyone has entered it.

http://www.internationalscreenwritingawards.com/

$39 for an early entry.  Is that worth it?

Excellent site!  By what PAGE got on the report card, it seems mostly for commending work rather than creating careers.

Anyway thanks!

This doesn't sound too bad at all, and I think it's pretty cool that you can enter it into another category for only $10 more if you happen to have something that hangs on the fence.

Might be time to see what Jack can do.

they didn't put it on the site since it went from 2200 entries to 600 entries!

which made my day coz I also passed the first round of the Kaos film competition!

Scripts :
- Hot Road (short)
- The Mirror (short)
- Listen Up (short)
- Dawn (short)
- One Day (short)
- Steal (short)

Right.  The "list" doesn't show online until the quarterfinalists have been chosen.  Only an e-mail was sent out to those moving on at this point.

Congrats on moving forward rpedro!

Did anyone advance to the semi-finals?

Has anyone had any previous experience with this contest, results etc?

Yeah, the late deadline is coming up quick.  Be sure to get 'em in!  I think in June is when we hear if we advanced or not(to the next round at least).

And the multiple categories is pretty cool too.  An additional 10 bucks per category on top of the base fee.

Best of luck!

Thanks fellas, and bad luck.

JD, I entered Open Your Mind, the same draft that's posted here.

Did either of you guys pay extra for feedback? I didn't but I wouldn't mind seeing what the feedback's like if you're willing to share it.

I received the e-mail yesterday, too.
I entered Damned Yankee, after a rewrite of course.
I've got my fingers crossed for the both of us.

In case anyone is interested...

They received 3,411 entries this year.
They were read and scored to get the top 25%. -- 872 scripts.

Now the quarter finalists are being read and scored.
They add that score to the other score to determine the semi-finalists... 25 scripts in each catagory.
So it will be down to 250 scripts on July 30.
