My name is Brad Martin,  http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0551997/.  I have an opportunity with a production company to get a $25-30 mil film produced.  I am seeking genre driven action scripts.  I like unique action scripts with a smart plot hopefully with a twist, comic book vibes, tweaked or seriously troubled heros/characters, alternate realities and/or mind f*%$ story lines.  Think a lower budget Inception, The Usual Suspects with action, Kick-Ass or Hanna to give you a general idea. Right now I have a fair amount of time on my hands to read, so if you have or know of anyone who may have a script that has one or more of these elements, please let me know.  Also, no Vampire or Werewolf scripts please.  I have been involved in 3 of the 4 Underworld movies and am over it.  Thank you!!!

Hi Brad,

I don't have an action script, though I know of a really good one with an intricate, high concept plot and I can reach out to the writer for you.

IF your production people will entertain something else however - i.e., an urban, gritty Fast Times meets a comedic Mean Streets with an American Graffiti feel, I have a project in active development with some name attachments and others reading, and some name directors circling. We also have it with a couple of production companies to read as well, including one owned by an A-list actress.

Our budget is around $6MM for a SAG rate, period (1989) NY (union) shoot - if we add some A-list talent, a name director and some art direction I'm thinking we go $10-$12MM...

We're looking for funding (though we have some leads) as well as an EP to tie all our production elements together. And we're pitching this with a sequel...

I can give you more details - ajrscreenworks@ verizon.net

I have a script you might be interested in. Think Entourage meets Pulp Fiction.

WHO THE HELL IS SHELDON REESE?
Bullets and wisecracks fly as an egomaniacal actor in a career slump must unravel the murder of a rival or risk becoming the celebrity slaying hitman's next victim.

If interested, please email me at bwind22@yahoo.com or post your email address here and I will send it to you. Thanks!

Hello, Brad. Solitary Force is a 1980's-style high-octane action script which I think could be pulled off on the type of budget you mentioned. You can find the script in the Action/Adventure section here:

Hey Brad, I've got just what the doctor ordered in my script, "Unforgettable".

It meets most of what you're after...action, twist(s), definitely tweaked and seriously troubled heroes/characters, alternate realities, and definitely a mind fucking story.

You can find it in the "Thriller" section, but I have a much better draft, which I can easily E-Mail to you, if you're interested.

Hope you find what you're looking for, as there are a number of talented writers here at SS.

Take care.

I have something in the comedy/action realm called Pimp Juice.  Comic Book characters and outrageous plot apply.

http://www.simplyscripts.com/scripts/PimpJuice.pdf

When a tainted batch of red Pop-Ade invades a small town and turns anyone who consumes it into a pimp or ho, the task of correcting the problem falls on three unlikely heroes: King Aloysius, a real life pimp, Sancho, the soothsayer on the street, and Guy Kracker, the whitest white man on Earth.

Brad,

I donít have a script that matches your criteria, but I have read one that Iíd recommend you check out if you havenít already.

The script is ďRageĒ by Matias Caruso. It recently did well in the trackingb annual contest. Itís a well contained action story that matches what youíve described.

Hopefully youíll be able to find contact info for Matias quite easily on this website. If you have trouble, send me a message and Iíll give you an email address for him.

Good luck.

Philip

I thought I would bump this for no other reason than it's the single most important thread that's ever been started on this board...

I swapped a couple emails with him. The last one I received was one confirming he had received my script.  I haven't contacted him since then so as not to be a pest.

Brad if you're still around I'd like to direct you attention to The Last Days of the Desert Dogs.

http://www.simplyscripts.com/scripts/TheLastDaysofTheDesertDogs.pdf

It's an action script accented with dark comedic touches. Currently, it's a quarter-finalist in the 2011 Page Awards.
