This notice came across my desk today...

Hello, Fellow Writers!

This is a tremendous opportunity to work with Glenn Howerton, and the
rest of the producers of IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA.

They are accepting submissions for production from new writers, with
the following guidelines:

- You only get one shot. Pick your best project and submit it.

- Any genre EXCEPT HORROR.

- Spec episodes of "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" will not be
read.

- If your idea is a feature, submit the completed script.

- If your idea is a series, submit the pilot.

- INCLUDE A LOGLINE. ANY SUBMISSIONS WITHOUT A LOGLINE WILL NOT BE
READ.

They are looking for writers right away, so once your script is the
best it can be, send it to:

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
10201 W PICO BLVD., BUILDING 41, SUITE 300
LOS ANGELES, CA 90064-2651

No phone calls or emails, please.

Good luck, Writers! And tell them Signe and Bob sent you.

Best Wishes,

Signe Olynyk

I love the writing on that show.
Sociopathic comedy is a personal fave!

So who's gonna submit a script?

Regards,
E.D.

I'm surprised that they want the submissions by snail mail, but they're in charge.

There's no due date?

Yes! Brett, you rule!

This is easily my favourite show on TV.

But damn, snail-mail from the UK = mega snail mail... But if there's no mention of a closing date...

Now, time to decide whether they would prefer features or television. I'm thinking maybe television would be more appropriate, due to their track record with that.

Time to dust off the old 3 hole puncher, pick up a few brass brads and some file paper...

Waaah

First of all, I thought they wanted them asap
So I specifically got my shit together, sat up til 2 in the morn, revising my pilot and then printed it out and posted it the next morn.
If I knew I had more time I would have had someone look it over..

Damn
And they also state " one shot"

Ah well

Hooray!

And they've specified they're looking for new material to produce.
So, I guess this isn't a cattle call for writers for their existing show.

I have a pilot I think could work, going to e-mail it soon!  Hopefully they don't surprise us with a "Oh hey yes closed no more submissions" soon, lol.

Yeah, that's the impression I got from the PitchFest memo too.
Which is why I've been working on it all weekend.
Alas though, it seems Mr. Howerton's Twitter paints a slightly diffy tale.

Yeah, same here. Have been neglecting my social life for the past 48hours, instead spending time doing a major rewrite on something! Oh well, I guess it will still be better to get it in to them sooner rather than later.

I imagine I'll ping them something mid-week, now that I can relax a bit.
