Hi all - didn't know where to put this thread because it's about coverage more so than contests so... hope it's okay here.

Wondering if anyone's tried their coverage package?  It's VERY expensive - $500 for coverage and $1,000 for coverage and a financial analysis.

I do see some heavyweights creating profiles though - Anthony Bregman on the producing side, Emilio Estevez on the directing side and actors like Giovanni Ribisi....

A grand is a lot to drop if it's not going to result in some good, high level looks...

I've not used it so I am only going on their site and what I have read... It strikes me that it is geared to connecting projects to funding.

So this looks like a great place for a Producer to find funding, or a pre-packaged project to find distribution, that sort of thing.

So unless you are a writer-producer I'm not sure how useful this is as it doesn't seem to be for connecting scripts to film makers.

At least that's how I read their service.

Screenwriters should never spend money on this shit. It's for producers and the like to spend that on a script they are already committed to. That's the only time stuff like this really helps... and, even then, it should never be us paying.

You can have the best written script in the world, if nobody is interested in your idea then it will never get made.

Wouldn't pay for this in a million years ("Save the Cash")

If you want coverage - you can get it for much cheaper (and I'm not even sure what that does for you).

The site seems to be mostly for fund raising and for preying on hopeful writers. I long for the day when a coverage or analysis service says - we charge nothing - we know what we are doing and all we want is a piece of the action when you sell your script specifically through our actions.

I still don't understand why anyone would pay for coverage?
