Commiserations, Warren.

Hey, but you did great, and more Comps to go, right?
What's the Aussie's name? I wonder if he/she is already on the inner circle?

Good job, Warren. glad you made it as far as you did, and you still may get some notice from being a semi-finalist, if you haven't already.

I got a couple scripts in Page this year so hoping things go well with that.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with a semi placement for this one. I'm hoping to do better in the comps that have a dedicated historical category, but we'll see. So yes, 8 comps to go

Thanks, Steve! This script is in Page as well, so hopefully we'll see each other in the later rounds.

Good luck.

Well congrats anyway for making it this far.   Some writers never do.  Hope you get some script requests.  -Andrea

Well done. The semis is an excellent result. Even if you don't get any script requests, this looks good on your resume when you apply for writing jobs.

Congrats Warren. You're probably a bit down right now but you shouldn't be. At that stage comps are luck really.

You're a great writer, everybody here knows that.

Hey Kham, not down at all. Very happy with a semi result. I never felt this script was really right for BlueCat, but I finished it just as the entries were closing and threw my hat in the ring. It's an epic historical drama and I think if it will do well anywhere it would be more likely in the comps that have dedicated historical categories. I think I will be pretty upset if it doesnít at least advance a few rounds in those ones, but I also know that the whole comp thing has so many variables.

At the moment Iím just enjoying the excitement of it, itís fun having something to look forward to, and the announcements are always a bit of a rush.

Iíve never entered paid comps before and I canít see myself doing it again any time soon, I mean itís not a cheap exercise if you do a few, but this script is my baby and I wanted to see how it went.

"You're a great writer, everybody here knows that."

I donít think everyone thinks that   But it's incredibly nice of you to say, thanks

Have you got anything in the comps this year? I know Game of Supers killed it in BlueCat last year.
