The quarter-finalists for Big Break have been announced. Shaka was lucky enough to get another placement in the Historical/Period/War genre.

And congrats to Dave, I'm not sure exactly how many got through but I saw at least one.

Any other SS members get through?

Thanks, Mark

Dave did actually have a big hand in getting Shaka into the shape it's in.

Congrats on the semi-final placement, Dave! And good luck for the rest of the comp.

Unfortunately thatís the end of the road for my script Shaka. Really happy with how it did overall, and looking forward to all the great things to come with the script in 2020.

Congrats to you both for getting in the latter stages, and Dave for still being in and with a chance to win it!

I'm not really familiar with this contest.

I could go and read the site, but because I'm lazy and prefer the writer view, what are the basic mechanics of this competition?

Thanks - it's pretty much a standard contest - generally listed in folks top ten - $45 to $75 entry fee depending on when you enter - has winners by genre.

One other thing that I like about this contest is that the sponsor sells scriptwriting software (which you're not required to use to enter)... they are not using this contest to sell add-on coverage services.
