Dream of the Dead by John Boitano (JB62 - Horror - Dream of the Deadtells the story of a straight-laced accountant that reluctantly joins his free spirited girlfriend at a horror convention. To his surprise the reluctance turns to fascination; but it’s short lived, as the struggle between dreams and reality becomes blurred, as he is unaware of a real life horror unfolding around him.86 pages - pdf, format

Spoilers

There was something about this script that I really liked. I really cared for Ethan and Victoria they were both strong leads and I found both to be really likeable. From looking at the plot logline I didn't expect this to be a zombie script, but the zombies were handled well and the nightmares that haunted Ethan were good, although a bit cringeworthy as they were so like night of the living dead, which was intentional but still.

Formatting and grammar were good, didn't notice any major mistakes which is always a plus.

And what I liked was the fact that unlike most zombie films it wasn't just all about the main characters being picked off one by one, they nearly all survive which is different to the so called "shock ending" which has now become so cliched. At the end when Ethan is bitten I was like oh no! because I really did care for the character, and i was reliefed when it turned out to be a dream sequence.

Good idea overall, and I love the idea of this straight-laced guy slowly becoming obsessed. Good work!
