^ Haha! I will hope to do so; thanks Jonathon. Re: Sharktopus, all I can say is: fair warning…I kinda enjoyed that one. It was no Frankenfish, but…well, in any case, there's definitely an element of that style planing in Snow Sharks, here.

Dustin/Jeff; Sand Sharks is much better than Sharknado, in my opinion!

Rick, I apologize…I missed the extensive feedback that you posted until now. I'd like to comment on a couple things, but I've got an exam tomorrow and will have to save it. Thank you very much for a lot of neat points, some thought-provoking comments, and a strong dedication to heroin addiction featuring in this script, haha. Really appreciate it.

Everyone's thoughts are very helpful here and I will continue trying to reshape this in my mind while getting ready for a rewrite as this semester comes to a close.

This... this is amazing.

Some things that may have been mentioned already (there's a lot of comments before me):

- This script has an avalanche full of sharks that are on fire. This is relevant to my interests.

- A lot of the characters are awfully calm at their friends being killed.

- The finale in Apex drags on a bit. I got a little tired of reading.

- The characters are all enjoyable, distinct, uncliched (is that a word?) and witty. For a B-movie, that's saying a lot.

- The subplot about Julia is kind of extraneous. Plus it's really heavy in tone for something as silly as a movie that features an avalanche full of sharks that are on fire.

- The Suits could do with more distinct names. I get that they're supposed to be uniform, identical g-men, but I did have trouble telling who was who at times.

- Did I mention that this movie has an avalanche full of sharks that are on fire?

Honestly, I think this script is too good for the likes of The Asylum (makers of Sharknado). Especially considering that they (not even with Sharknado) have gone this far off the deep end. And yes, that pun was intentional.

As mentioned numerous times, first thing that pops into your head ‘Snow Shark,’ horror/comedy, sharknado. I haven’t even seen Sharknado, yet the relationship was there. The title and premise adhere to the genre of choice horror/comedy. As far as similarities, that’s just capitalizing on something that's worked.

Definitely have to take a look at this.

Commodus: But the Emperor Claudius knew that they were up to something. He knew they were busy little bees. And one night he sat down with one of them and he looked at her and he said, "Tell me what you have been doing, busy little bee..."

Quoted Text
Suddenly, Brady’s hands are on Fenner’s shoulders and Brady’s
staring at Fenner, wild-eyed.
BRADY
Shark...in the snow!

Fenner holds his gaze for a second, then laughs.
FENNER
C’mon man, you-

SLAP! Brady slaps his head left, then backhands it right,
then slaps it left again.
BRADY
I’m telling you. Snow sharks!

Let's review

Snow Sharks is a horror-comedy similar to that of ‘Sharknado,’ which I’ve never seen, or any other so bad it’s good film. We meet a group of friends with an actually funny-loving introduction, making for an easy read in the beginning.

Quoted Text
Sonia leans against the bar, watching as the four men
struggle. She raises an eyebrow at Mya. Mya looks back,
bemused, then leans next to her. The fight continues.
MYA
Y’know, it’s my birthday.

SONIA
Happy birthday!

MYA
Thank you.

SONIA
...country girl.

Mya smirks.
MYA
Yeah. Well...

She turns and throws a wild punch at Sonia’s face...

Group of friends, check; female lead haunted by something in the past, who doesn’t want to have sex, check; single destination, ski resort with impending danger, check. Horror has a certain number of beats it hits and the Sharks are introduced right on queue, however, horror stories can become repetitive with passive characters being attacked over and over and over and over and over and over, Snow Sharks doesn’t completely escape this. It does elevate it with adding some comical dialogue and character introductions. It attempts to extend that comedic technique to the actual murders, see moose headed, one-legged hopping victim. Entertaining, easy to read scene with a good use of crosscutting between both victims. Crosscutting is another technique to be added to like pile.  After that initial attack, the story barely takes time to catch its breath, and it’s an all and all attack for about 80 pages. Action kills plot.

There is a revelation about halfway through when the characters learn where the sharks came from. Absurd.  Who created them. Absurd. Why they where created. Absurd. You’re getting exactly what the writer said you would, with a title like Snow Sharks and genre horror-comedy.  They say you catch a reader in the first 10 pages, and you catch a viewer in the end, I can’t think of a more epic set piece than a shark-avalanche rushing toward the resort. It doesn’t hold cover to cover, but both beginning and end are worth a peek.
