I read an article in today's paper about the Oscars. The journo wondered what criteria the Academy members go by when selecting a film for nomination. He said if you asked them, they would probably wax lyrically about acting, direction and script etc. However, he wondered if they asked themselves if it was a film they would go to the cinema to see again. He went on to say, that although he enjoyed most of the films nominated for best picture this year, he doesn't think he would bother spending another two hours of his life going to see them again. So I was thinking it would be interesting to find out what movies people had seen more than once at the cinema. Sure there are heaps of movies we've all seen many times on DVD, but what movies have you seen more than once during their stint at the cinema? Here's my list. Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, and Reservoir Dogs - 3 times. Happiness, True Romance, Requiem for a Dream, Creepshow, Traffic, Once Were Warriors. - 2 times. That's it.

Multiple movies released between 1998-2000, due to LOTS of free tickets while at university (not because they were that good though!!)

I have seen one movie twice in theaters, and it was Land of the Dead . Once to get me over the hype, the second to really watch it and analyze it. Generally I don't bother seeing movies more than once. It costs me eleven bucks to see it once, so twice can pay for the DVD.

Yeah, but DVD and the big screen are two different viewing experiences altogether.
If I REALLY dig something, I want to see it again PRONTO and I want it on the big screen.
