Welcome Jake. This is a good site to network with some great screenwriters.

Welcome to the boards, Jake. I hope you're able to use this resource in every way you need it to work for you. There's a lot of talent and a lot of good information if you know where to find it. A lot of screenwriting questions have already been asked and answered on the Screenwriting Class board, so I recommend searching that board if you need something before you ask. however, there are new questions all the time, so don't be afraid to ask either. Good luck.
A good start is to read scripts. For a good start on which ones to read on here, there's a thread called "Recommended Reads" in the "Getting to Know You" board that list many of the better unproduced ones on this site that easily rival some of the produced ones.
Click here for that thread . Lots of good stuff in there.

Wow this site is getting popular with the Brits. I love it. Welcome to the suck. Haha just kidding. So much information and experience to be gained and learned here, if you want it and work for it.

Watcha Jake, nice to see a fellow Englishman on the boards. Good idea reading other peoples screenplays as i've found it really helpful, i'm a newcomer too. Only problem i've come across is that when I post you have to wait a while for any responses, thats not a dig at everyone by the way, it's just cos of the big time difference (or maybe because i do most of my reading and posting while i'm suppose to be working so its probably really earlier in the day over yonder)
