What a messy jumble...

Two days ago, I drove from Innsbruck, Austria to Munich, Germany for a flight to London, Heathrow. So, with luggage in hand, I checked in, went to my gate without trouble. Despite the bomb threats.

When I arrived in London, it was hell. Lines were everywhere, it was just so overwhelming. After doing everything, we went to the flight for Seattle. Two minutes before the flight was ready to take off. A man was acting suspicious, and they cancelled my flight.

I waited 3 hours for my bag, but they lost it, with all my valuables, so I have to wait forever for my stuff to come back, and if it doesn't. I get a reimbersment, or however you spell it.

I take the tube to Hammersmith, stay in a hostel... Book a flight to San Fran... Then the next morning I went to the air port. Rain, rain, rain. There were lines everywhere, British Airways was still screwed. I was sent to United.

A nice man took me through the big lines so I could check in. I don't know why, but he just did. I got on the plane to San Francisco, everything was well, until I looked at the movie selection...

So boring...

I slept until San Fran, got off the plane, my flight to Seattle was cancelled. I had to take one two hours later, and go through 4 more security lines. Where my bags are still somewhere in London Heathrow.

Now I'm home with no bags, no nothing. Shit luck that this whole thing happened two days before I came back home.

Coming Soon:

I finally found the title for my short.

It does suck, and it hurts to lose all your baggage and belongings...

BUT...

I have no problems with the mess right now. It will settle down eventually once a firm and coherent gameplan has been put in place between governments, security, airlines and airport officials.

The way I see it, I'd rather lose my baggage to an airline than my life to a terrorist.

Very true, but I had a camcorder, digital camera, ipod, 100 dollars worth of gifts, etc. And I had to ride the tube around london, which isn"t the greatest thing in the world.

That does suck. Ouch!

Yeah - the tube isn't the best. I was on it last year only a couple of weeks before the London bombings. My wife wasn't happy at the time of the travelling and certainly wasn't happy when the bombings happened.

Next time we travel to the UK, I'm certain she won't go on them.

Good luck getting your gear back!
