Hi there,

Just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Jay and like you I love reading and writing screenplays.

I mainly work on short films but have a few features in the making. My favourite genre is crime/action/psychological drama.

Seems like there's a wealth of information here, and I am deeply impressed by the tutorial section along with the library of inspirational screenplays at hand.

My main goal as an amateur writer is to gain experience and knowledge on a daily basis, so I am open to all suggestions and ideas.

Anyway, happy writing to you all,
Jay

Welcome to the boards, Jay  Don't sit in my seat and don't drink my beer and we'll get along fine

Do you have any films of yours online that we can see?

Haha, thanks for the welcome Phil. Your throne's all yours friend, and as for the beer I hope you're necking the good stuff!!

Nothing professional to date I'm afraid, but I do plan on getting something produced in my lifetime, to etch those credits into my future portfolio.

Failing that I'm working on acquiring equipment to make my own stuff. Too many penned ideas need bringing to life.

So happy writing to you, and thanks again for the warm welcome.
Jay.

Welcome Jay.

I recommend looking at the Screenwriting Class area, as well as reading some of the Script Clubs. And of course reading other people's screenplays.

Good luck with it all.

Thanks for the welcome Tommyp.

I'm already on it, just getting to grips with everything around here. Quite a large site with some great tutorials. I'm glad I found this place.

Happy writing,
Jay
