Hello Everyone, I am looking for a screenplay that can be shot in a very small town setting or studio. If you can think of a good title that would match this please tell me and I can work off the title; if you can think of any good ideas, please let me know. Dont worry about my budget, just tell me whatever pops into your head. |

Only One. I just changed the name from j.hawkins@ncw.k12.mn.us to Jonah Hawkins which is my name. I keep posting new threads because I am looking for movie scripts and ideas and help so I post a different thread for each subject. Only like 3 or 4 so far. Just many posts within the threads.

Jonah,
You can't just come on and ask which scripts are really good that can be made into a film. Everyone on this site knows of a script that they'd be happy to recommend to you, but throwing out several ideas at once and asking people to do everything isn't the way to go.
To answer your initial question, I typed in "small town" in the shorts section and picked up about 9 titles, so there's a good chance that you'll find something you like. |

Here are the starting 'guidelines' that I think you should and all members should try to follow:
Step 1 - Review other scripts by active members and leave more than just one-liners.
Step 2 - Post a screenplay and ask for advice...and then take the advice without saying BUT! And PLEASE try and have some idea of how to format a screenplay before posting it!
Step 3 - Introduce yourself! Now that people have seen your user name running around everywhere leaving good reviews and taking advice and using it to help your script, people will want to get to know you and help you with future scripts!
Step 4 - Repeat step 1 and 2 again!

Ok, I'm tired of typing now. Basically, don't act like a kid and ya' won't get treated like a kid. Act like a kid and all you are doing is filling up the board wasting our time.

And what's the coolest part of this post? Rapture is 14. Our little grasshopper has learned well. Jonah, you are welcome here as long as you choose to stay. Everyone is. There are no standards apart from THE RULES. Use this site for what it can do for you. There are a lot of very clever people who don't mind helping in a ton of different ways, and the regulars act like an extended family in many ways. We all have our strengths and can offer quite a bit if you choose to take it. |

We fall to our knees in your presence..
You are the light, the breath and the life; and you mean everything to me (cough, splutter), I mean us!
Haha.. We worship the ground you walk on and the scripts you write in.. Hehe..

Lv R Name M But To Rest Aint I Ches And His We Li even of ex qu Etcr Not sure if I've deciphered this correctly, especially the end of the message.. Love your name, mmm.. But to the rest, ain't I ches and his "we" a lie, even if I excuse you etc. If this is correct, I like that you like my name. I don't consider you a game. And my "we" was a disguise, because, in actual fact, the "I" was genuine.. EMLIAMEEERGAUOYFIYLETAVIRPSIHTEUNITNOCEWTSEGGUSI The above is not difficult, a simple technique of palindromic proportions! |

Bill, you risk the wrath of THE ASPHYX, not a very clever thing to do! Why do you pose the question with the words "hippy" and "Privilege"? I don't think you appreciate the irony of Breanne's statement. In fact she has made two comments, one stated (where she was born) the second a parody of a common American saying, "Good ol' US of A".
Two countries separated by the same language. |
American culture does not speak or write English like those of us from Great Britain, Americans assimilate, abreaviate, substitute, adopt slang and use acronyms. So their form of English has grown to become a unique form of American English all it's own.. At SimplyScripts no one hears you scream.. Be afraid, be very afraid... Haha.. You silly sausage! |

Born with bread (Money) in her mouth. Most of us are born and bred. You're right. A bad joke from a silly old-fashioned Cumberland but unafraid sausage. |

Bill, I certainly wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth. The word I used was “bred” as in the past tense of “breed.” It’s an old expression. It was used arbitrarily and means nothing to me. I was answering a question. Nothing more. If you don’t like the way I talk, I suppose that’s just too bad for you. Honestly, you sound rather snooty to me.

Greg, that’s pretty funny -- haha. You’re a funny guy. Have you read my response to one of your posts in “The Wrong Guy” thread? Kevan, My little puzzle is impossible to solve -- haaa. No, I’m just kidding. I made it simple because I knew your complex, highly technical superbrain would overanalyze it. It’s so simple that I can’t even offer you a clue in public because then everyone would figure it out…..which means I’ll never figure yours out -- haha Brea |

This thread is just one long litany of misunderstandings from a certain point. I love the way you folks talk, from sunny Florida right up to the frozen Dakotas. Don't love the way you spell words- but I guess my UK friend is right- You've got a whole different thang going over there now, 'cept maybe Boston. Ah that reminds me, time for tea.
Quoted Text Jonah -- haha! -- I thought you were talking to me. Well, now it makes sense. I couldnt figure out which was more offensive -- that you called me a d*ck |

You know what, Mr. Bill? I’m going to let you be because I can see that you’ve come here for one reason and one reason alone - to cause trouble. Of that, there is no misunderstanding. For example, you know very well that in America the word “thing” is not spelled as “thang.” Surely a language connoisseur such as yourself knows better. Therefore, it can only be correctly assumed that your inference was to bait me. Ah, but Bill, before you belittle an entire nation for lacking adequate English skills by comparison to Cumberland, England, you should do a little fact checking. There are two detrimental flaws in your snooty philosophy: 1) The English language did not originate in Cumberland, England. British people spoke Celtic when the Angles, Saxons, and Jutes arrived. They were Germanic tribes who crossed the North Sea from what is today Denmark and northern Germany. You can hardly claim your version as the definitive version. 2) Languages evolve. The English language is no longer pristine. You yourself don’t speak the same English spoken by your ancestors. Language exists for one reason - to communicate. Language rules exist for one reason - to communicate. Times change and people have to adapt. Language has to adapt to the times. Every historian on earth has to study the language of whatever period they study - not just for the information but by necessity. The writings found are indecipherable without knowledge of the idiosyncrasies of the time. Yes, American English has drastically deviated from the English you know. But there are reasons for that. Reasons that make perfect sense. So you can belittle the way I speak and the way every American speaks all you want. I’ll give my life for your right to do that. But your indictment of our entire culture because our English differs from your own only serves to make you look not only troublesome but quite ignorant. And with that, I’m done with you. I’ll think I’ll have a glass of tea myself - iced tea. |

Jonah,
What ever happened to the point of this thread. I understand we are all having fun but are you still looking for a screenplay to do. If not, then maybe you can make a Code's thread in the General section. I just don't want to go too off topic.

The only thing I know that you can do Andrew is delete everything from my first post on.
