Max,

Can I just say that I agree with you 100% with your review of 'Frailty'. An outstanding achievement for Paxton. I thought it was a very clever way to get inside the mind of a serial killer and to open your mind to the reasonings behind why they do what they do. A good thought provoker. And to repeat your statement, it was a shame this movie wasn't marketed a lot better, it didn't deserve to bomb.

I agree. I love this movie and bought it on DVD by someone who happened to recommend it to me one day.

I think it's becoming more popular by word of mouth. Maybe it won't get as big as Shawshank, but I think it will continue to climb up the DVD ladder.

Paxton proves that he can act, as I think a lot of people think he's a bit wooden. But, I enjoy his acting in most things he does. And it was a great directorial debut too.(might be wrong here!)

I think it's very original! I bought Arlington Road at the same time and thought that was brilliant too.

It is Paxton's directorial debut. I agree it'll take some gossip to better Shawshanks rise to greatness but hopefully it will become more popular as more and more people buy it/rent it.

Arlington Road I thought was very cool also.

I like Frailty, I do... however, it isn't that great of a movie.  I think Bill Paxton does a great job, by and large, here and really shines... however, the kids are the stars of the movie... although that one little punk I cannot stand... something about him makes me wanna slap him sometimes.

The story was very well put together and most anyone who watches it wouldn't really guess the ending... I mean, I knew something wasn't right about Matt C. but to think he was the 180 of the story, that did throw me for a loop.

I think Powers Booth is brilliant in this too... he's such a "no pun intended" powerful actor in his own right and easily eclipses the screen when he's on it.

I have trouble with the movie as a whole... it just seemed to forced at times and then to random at others.  I saw this movie with my ex when it 1st came out, cause she was so into Matt C. and I have to say that this and TCM Next Gen do that shmuck justice in the acting field, cause he sucks outside of these two movies.

Or maybe I'm holding a grudge against him because he's better looking than me...  I'd still kick his ass though~

I agree Balt. Powers Booth is an exceptional character actor who deserves far more credit than he deserves.

This is a good performance by matt c. (if you're not gonna spell it I sure as hell ain't) and with the exception of 'A Time To Kill' is his best piece of work.

It's funny my missus feels the same as your ex. What is it with these women?

This Movie surprised me with how good it was. It makes me mad when we have movies like this on the shelfs and movies like The Grudge and The Ring Two opening in theaters.

I couldn't agree more. It's a shame when quality movies are pushed aside for money spinners.

I suppose you have to blame the marketing team behind 'Frailty' but still its pi**es you off don't it.

I think that the fact I wasn't sure what I was gonna get with 'Frailty' made me enjoy it even more.
