Two sisters who, after spending time in a mental institution, return to the home of their father and cruel stepmother. Once there, in addition to dealing with their stepmother's obsessive and unbalanced ways, an interfering ghost also affects their recovery.

Scariest movie i have ever seen... ever! I am still getting shivers down my spine after watching it. If you can ever get a chance to see it... see it! 11/10

Great film, but I wasn't scared. I was on edge a couple of times, and jumped once or maybe twice, but I wasn't SCARED. None of these hyped Asian horror films seem to scare me much at all, even though everyone says they're the scariest films they've ever seen. The Eye was an exception actually, that scared me quite a bit in a few scenes. But it didn't stay with me or anything.

Anyway, it's a fantastic film none the less. Very complex plot with wonderful performances, cinematography and score. I wanted to be scared though!

I dunno... Japanese horror is good, it is... it's raw and brutal and goes far and above anything american horror is use to, that much is true.

However, the unsettling horror isn't always scary... it's just that, unsettling. Scary horror is hard to pull off... unsettling horror is a different kinda horror.

Gor instance...

AUDITION, LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK, I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE, DON't MESS WITH MY SISTER, TOXIC AVENGER, PIECES, UNHINGED, DEATH ISLAND... etc...etc...etc.

Those movies are very unsettling and very disturbing... not that they are scary or anything almost just... that stuff like this can happen... with the exception of a TOXIC MONSTER, I was more or less talking about the thugs in the movie and them hitting people in there car and running them over and shit... that stuff is just... bah!!!

THE GORE GORE GIRLS, is another... I love MR. LEWIS, I really do... but this movie goes above and beyond the laws and limits of good and bad taste. This movie is a real shocking piece of work.

I also want to add that this film wasn't japanese but Korean. Also, didn't it have a sort of FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC, feel to it... kinda? Maybe? Sorta? Or was that just me? I dunno... I also think that anything in a mall reminds me of DAWN OF THE DEAD "not the shit new one, but the classic one"
