When I saw the trailer, the film looked funny and of course, romantic. Hey, like a romantic comedy.   Unfortunately, this movie came out after The Perfect Man where the premis was a desperate woman looking for a soulmate. My thirteen-year-old sister liked The Perfect Man while I had low hopes for it, and I was cautious to walk into Must Love Dogs, expecting something like the other. I was pleasantly surprised.

The dialogue is witty and we all know Diane Lane is magnificent and she's brilliant as Sarah, a woman who has given up on love after her husband gave her up for a younger woman. Which we never really find out the entire story until well into the movie, which I thought was new because in other romantic comedies, we can't learn about the woman's failure at love fast enough.

And it was funny! The entire theater laughed, mostly at Diane Lane and John Cusack's interaction with each other. And Diane Lane. Either way, it's a great date movie and enjoyable.

That's good, I'll probably check this out when it comes to DVD. Oh, yeah it did seem like "The Perfect Man", which, yes I did see, I had to cause it was a 3 for 1 deal and "Land of the Dead" was playing later that night. It was a drive in which made that cooler.

I cannot wait to see this movie! I've heard so many great things about it, plus, you can't go too wrong with John Cusack now can you? Have always been a fan of Diane Lane since I saw her in 'The Outsiders' too.

This will no doubt be one for my DVD collection. Can't wait!
