The twins of Paul "Muad'dib" Atreides become embroiled in the political landscape of Arrakis ("Dune") and the rest of the universe.

That's a fools way of describing this film, the twins Leto and Ghanima don't even show up until part 2 as main characters. Alia (Daughter of Irulan and brother of Paul) becomes the leader of Arrakis. I can't talk much more about the mini series without giving stuff away because it has a lot of stuff in it that is truly entertaining unlike the original mini series which was slow and boring but still good if you can get past boring.

This however is well paced and entertaining.

Sadly the DVD has very little if anything in the way of special features but the series itself is worth a watch or two. You may have to see Dune (3 Disc box set) before you watch this for the simple fact they go back to back and COD picks up where Dune leaves off.

This is the most original and entertaining series I've seen in awhile, it is adapted from a book but like always nothing is original anymore.

It does have some nudity, which is kind of cool for a television mini series on the Sci Fi channel.

In the end it is very entertaining if you're a die hard fan of sci fi fantasy films with a bit of action and a big emphasis on the characters. I know I was very vague but once you watch it you'll understand why I was.

Movie 8.5 out of 10
DVD Features 2 out of 10
