Gah.. The Double Dip, man I hate those. Even know I know about the 2 or 3 disc special edition coming soon, I had to buy the barebones edition of Sin City. I did like how the covers were done, they have 2 of the characters on each cover so you get to choose your favourite. I chose the one with Bruce Willis and Jessica Alba and my friend was buying it too and was unhappy because he wanted to get the cover with Rosario Dawson and Clive Owen but it was sold out. So he bought the one with Britney Murphy, We were very happy to see that the characters were only slip covers and underneath all had the same dvd covers with the whole cast on it. Very Smart. Now, the movie's still the same brilliant! It was one of the first movies I watched on my new 105' projection TV and it was amazing! Now, this DVD having no special features was a bummer but the menu's we're pretty cool designed.

Overall, If you're a big fan and can't wait for the special edition (like me) then buy it. When the special edition comes out I'm just going to sell my barebones edition at a store near by.

I was all set to buy this edition today and found out it's bare bones and now I'm waiting for the real DVD release that they will bring out to make more money. I hate companies who do that, you buy a DVD and a week later boom the Unrated version comes out and you have to buy another.

I bought the X-Men 2 DVD thinking you got the special features with it but it turned out to be the bare bones version. I think studios are really going overboard with these DVDs. First they release the single disc DVD, then the two disc, then the director's cut, then the special edition, and for some franchises even a box set!!! The film industry really milks things bone dry nowadays.

As for Sin City, I'll be waiting until they inevitably bring out the two disc version.

We all hate that garbage, man. > As much as I want to see all of the cool extra features that's going to be on the Special Edition DVD, I won't get it because I already got the one released, which is still cool. The cover's awesome. I got the one with Bruce Willis and the lovely Jessica Alba. The Special Edition, however, has really magnificent bonus materials, like:

1. 20 Minute Cooking School. In the Once Upon a Time In Mexico DVD, it has a 10 Minute Cooking School, where Robert Rodgriuez cooked Pibil-- the seasoned steak pork that Sands just loves. I wonder what he'll cook in the Sin City DVD.

2. 20 Minute Film Sschool. In the Once Upon a Time In Mexico DVD, it was a 10 minute one and it had useful advices from Robert Rodgriuez. It was handy. I bet the one in the Sin City DVD is even better, now that he filmed all of Sin City behind a green screen. I need to learn a few things about that.

3. Scenes that wasn't shown in theaters. See, Rodgriuez actually filmed a whole bunch stuff from the comic books, but he knew he could not release it into theaters because it would be too long. Instead, he filmed a lot of scenes that was taken out of comics That Yellow Bastard, Big Fat Kill, and The Hard Goodbye and saved it for the DVD. I don't know how many hours it actually has, but it's worth seeing.

That's all I know, so far. It looks really marvelous, but I doubt I'd get it even though it does seem so awesome. No dough, and I already bought a Sin City DVD. And I hear it's going to be worth a lot more than 20 bucks.

Question: How come there's no Sin City script here at Simply Scripts?
