And it's off alright. Way off....... from what the cover would like you to believe but with that said this movie had its moments and I'll get into them in a moment. 1st off however I must note the bad and misleading nature of our distributors.

The box would have you believe it's about zombies, ghost and a scary motel set somewhere around a graveyard... however what we get is nothing of the kind... AT ALL!

What we get is a movie shot on a DVD camera and a motel set in the middle of a city. It's very aggravating when this occurs and it has occurred more often than not, now Digital cameras are at the disposal of millions of american assholes who think they can make a movie. We are often tricked into believing one thing other the actual content of the film.

Well now... on with the on.

This movie has it's points... It does and here's why. Though the story is lame as all hell on Sunday, the situations are to be seen to be believed.

I've never seen a more life-based movie ever! It's true... this movie actually deals with real situations, with real people and how "REAL" people would act in the situation at hand.

The movie is about a guy and a girl... who move to mane and rent a motel room for the "OFF SEASON" cause they couldn't afford NEW YORK no more.

The girl is the bread winner and the guy is a struggling writer... who, of course, needs his space to think and write with out distractions. This isn't as bad as it seems, however, as the movie deals with more than just his need to write.

The acting is plausible. It's laughable at times and others it can turn around and shock you into believing you're not even watching the same movie you was just 5 minutes before.

There is a scene where the husband has to explain that there is human excrement all over the bathroom to a maid... this scene has to be viewed at least 10 times with your friends to get a good laugh... It's absurd.

However, the girl... she is a decent actress. She really impressed me with how she came thru with her lines in such a low budget pile of shit. Maybe it was the lines they gave her or maybe she made them up on the fly, I dunno... whatever it was it was delivered with a lot of sentiment.

The movie isn't ever scary... it's not. It's not even spooky. It's kinda lame in the horror aspect, however, the drama parts are what hooked me.

There is a scene where the boyfriend comes home late, drunk, as always and she's sick and they go into this lengthy scene of how they are broke, have no money, the lap top he has was bought with her money and so was the car... so forth and so on and this is the scene that made me stand up and cheer for the people who made the flick. I dunno why... it just seemed so real.

In the end... the movie came thru with just what I thought it would in the horror department... NOTHING! It ended how it started and maybe even worse.

The ghost story they did have, and they did have one, had no merit at all.

I think the highlight for most horror fans here will be ANGUS SCRIMES as he plays the creepy old guy in room 12.

All in all... thumbs down on horror... thumbs up on drama

2.5 out of 5 stars on this one: It had it's moments but they were always when the lead actress was on screen and never do to anything or anyone else.
