This movie is both good and both bad. I had the uneasy pleasure of watching this the other day with a few of my bandmates while waiting on our drummer. Though I didn't get to see all of it as I was in an out of the room a lot... I did get to see enough of it to remember what was good and what was bad about it.

So here goes-

I think Vincent Perez was leaps and bounds better than anyone who's play the character before. I thought he had an honest sincere way about his facial acting that made him shine in this role.

I liked the story better than the other 3 movies now too. I thought it was crafted a bit more sly. By this I mean, it was the same story but told a bit more varied.

I liked IGGY POP's character, CURVE, and even, as strange as it might sound, THOMAS JANES character too. Both played really great creeps.

I Liked the lighting effects in this one too. They went all out here and made the movie look different from any other movie out there. Lot's of incandecent yellows and light oranges. You never really get to see anyone's "REAL" skin pigment, ever... and it set the mood very well.

I liked a lot of the action in the movie too. Though not as heavy as the 1st one, it still managed to take us thru the paces. Vincent wasn't a fighter, nore was he supposed to be I don't believe and that came off really well here. He played the part as someone with powers, powers he didn't understand fully but was gonna use them the best he could or knew how. I liked that aspect.

-----

Now then... I didn't like. The main villian, he sucks. He sucks bad. He couldn't act and he kinda ruined the movie. If I was a bad guy I wouldn't even wanna be friends with this guy or even have this guy know my phone number... he was that lame.

I didn't like a lot of the dialogue. It was way to cheesy and punn orientated. It flew in and out of absurdity more so than not.

I thought MIA KIRSHNER wasn't used as she should've or could've been. More of her would've been a plus.

The cheese ball crow effects were ultra shitty.

The acting on a whole was pretty terrible, but that's to be expected. I thought the LEADS did well enough, though and that's all that mattered.

In the end... the movie was really decent. I liked it a great deal and hold it as the pinicle of the series... whens the last time you heard that about a follow up???

DAY OF THE DEAD to NIGHT & DAWN and BATMAN RETURNS to BATMAN is all I can think of... oh, & FRIDAY THE 13th 2 and 3 to FT13th.

But by and large... never happeneds. More so in action/whatever kind of movies these are.

3.5 out of 5: Good little time killer and it's not too long either so you won't ever feel like you're under a scope or have the need to do something else

You know Balt I never though The Crow would be something you'd enjoy (I love the series dearly eventhough Edward Furlong killed The Crow beyond repair with his terrible acting and 1 liners) It's weird that in my collection of faves it goes The Crow, Salvation, City of Angels and than the non Crow film Wicked prayer or with mainstream franchise killers Tara Reid and Edward Furlong.

I'm bitter that they could do this to me, 3 years I waited for this film and they did this? I guess on the brightside I have found solice in older films as of late and martial arts films not made in the U.S.A.
