Well this is a 5 DVD set which contains four films and one documentaty disc, the latter about the director of this series a Spaniard by the name of Amando De Ossorio.

I brought this box set for about £25, having seen the cover, remembered vivid images from my boyhood past about watching these Templar knights in action.
Excited and deluded from may have been a marijuana flashback, I brought the set and have since watched each film.

The films consisit of a legion of Templar knights, returning from the dead to seek revenge on anyone they see. ( or in this case, hear). Some call it a zombie flick, but I beg to differ. Its more like seeing the Grim Reaper with a back ache.

TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD kicks us off, this is the 1971 original and uncut, although there really is not a lot that needs cutting. This is  great film, if you like your violence short and your storyline even shorter.
Lets get it straight, I wasnt expecting great things from this, and just as well I ddint.
This is all in Spanish so reading the subtitles came in handy (although you could watch this in Spanish and be none the wiser).
I gained my satisfaction from the scenes I wanted and expected; the slow motion of the Templars, the atmosphere and the local was the main reason I forked out the cash and I got what I wanted. The plot really is something that seems to be in the way.
In case you are wondering what the hell I am going on about, this should do:

In 1971 director Amando De Orsorrio created what horror fans worldwide consider to be Spains version of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.
A legion of Knights Templar, executed horsemen whose eyes had been burned out/pecked out by crows (depending what one you watch), rise from their graves looking for flesh , hunting only by sound.

In doing so, he made four films of which are of a seriously low budget yet a somewhat succesful series that has gained cult status.

TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD , as I said, kicks us off and the ressurection scenes of the Blind Dead are used not only in this film, but the next three that follow.
The opening half hour is as dumb a horror film as you would expect but what is magical about this is the atmosphere and suspence that makes this first half hour probably the best 30 minites of the entirie first three films.
Expect some awful acting, an even worse love scene, and some shocking dialouge. But overall, if you like weird and bizarre movies, you will like this one.

RETURN OF THE EVIL DEAD
More of the same, as this time ones come back to spoil a town celebration, 1000 years on from their execution. As far at plot holes go, this is full. But sit back, and enjoy as the Templar knights in glorious low budget slow motion slaughter everything in sight. Even the small riddle of the deds horses is solved! (Yes, these dead Templat Knights ride on dead horses.)

GHOST GALLEON (BLIND DEAD III)
Wow, this was awful, Even for this series. Hilariously bad acting, awful cinematogrhpy and just a shambles of a film. Basically, a must see!!!

BLIND DEAD 4 - NIGHT OF THE SEAGULLS
This is the best of the lot, it has a plot and it builds some kind of mystique around this odd little town we are in. Reminds me a lot of the Wicker Man, but no where near its quality. This is about sacrifice, the Knights Templars and some more stupid actors. But this shines with the local and atmosphere, although the whole thing is held together by a thread.

I would be honest in saying I would not reccomened these films to anyone sane, but horror fans and spoof fans alike would enjoy this series.
Its an enjoyable and stupid waste of time, yet there are moments where it takes your breath away.

I dont regret buying them, at least you learn some Spanish, and I rate as below:

TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD 3/5
RETURN OF THE EVIL DEAD 2/5
GHOST GALLEON 1/5
NIGHT OF THE SEAGULLS 3.5/5
