The Legend of Ron Jeremy is not a porn movie but, rather, a documentary about a porn star.  It tells how a short, disgustingly hairy-looking guy became the biggest name in adult cinema.

Before becoming a pornstar, Jeremy was a special education teacher who was bit by the acting bug.  When getting work in mainstream theater and movies didn't work, and after a girlfriend sent his photo to Playgirl, he found his calling.

So how did such a hairy guy make it so big in erotica?  It's all explained in this movie through a series of interviews from Jeremy, his family and fellow pornstars (past and present).  It also goes into detail how Jeremy desperately tries to get into mainstream movies and his difficulty with it.

As I said before, this is not a porn movie.  There is some brief nudity in it (most pixilated out), but it's nothing more than you would find in any late night cable show.  Its R-rating is probably more due to the language used by those in it.

It was a very enjoyable and candid documentary of a very colorful celebrity.  Whatever your opinion of pornography is, you will probably get something out of it.  If you're old enough to rent it, I recommend you see it.
