I never started a thread on this show because I know 90% of people hate it, but this show is, at least to me, better than anything I have seen on TV or in the movies.

What I love about the show is first of all Jack Bauer, the greatest fictional character ever, he is willing to get his hands dirty, if he has to he will kill an innocent man women or child to get the job done, I ain't saying that's a good feeling, but to see a character sacrifice their soul is great television.

I love all 6 days but day 5 has to be my favourite, with all the action and plot twists, I mean every episode has about 3 big turns, they play as mini films.

I know there are a lot of organizations that condemn the show because of it's use of torture, but if there were more soldiers willing to do what jack Bauer does there probably wouldn't be any wars, sure you may have to kill a few hundred people, lop off a few heads and fingers, but if it saves more lives in the end so what, sometimes you have to get a little dirty.

Anyways, for me, this is the best thing on TV, even though it is so hated, that doesn't change my view of it.  The one thing is about this series, to get into it, to understand it you need to see it from day one, if you miss an episode you're screwed, that's why I only watch it on DVD.

Agreed, flyboy. The writers of this show... they know what they're doing. Didn't watch the sixth season (this is too good to watch on TV, I always wait for the DVD), but the fifth is my favourite so far as well, since it's the darkest one.

I'm glad I found this show and I'm very proud to be part of that 10%

First off, a television show doesn’t win numerous Emmy Awards if ninety percent of people hate it. Maybe that’s just up there in Canada but down here in the States, people can’t get enough of Jack Bauer. Although that might not be true for much longer.

Maybe it's just me (the dive in ratings says its not) but this show isn't shocking anymore. I've been watching since the beginning and the material is starting to seem regurgitated. There are only so many ways that Jack Bauer can save Los Angeles from destruction.

It seems that the writers were aware of this too and made plans to shake the show up in a radical way. Unfortunately the folks over at Fox are greedy MotherFuckers.

For the record, I love this show and would take a bullet for Jack Bauer but last season was bad. Hopefully the writers can still reclaim some of the creative and ratings steam it lost last season.

Though earth and man are gone, I thought the cube would last forever.
I WAS WRONG.

I liked the last season, it was not in the same league as day 5 but that would be impossible, i mean that day was just perfect television, even though Tony, Michelle and David Palmer were killed off, I still have hope for Tony, I'm sure there is a way they can bring him back, he was awesome.  I liked the addition of Ricky Schroeder in 24, he was like a young Jack, just more of a sadist, and the scenes with Peter McNicol an Powers Boothe were great.  And Jack having to kill Curtis was a shocking scene.  but for me a solid entry, better than anything else that is shitting in television.

To be honest, I think the first three seasons were the best out of all of them so far. I couldn't finish the forth season because of how terrible it was for me. I just hated how everything was starting to pan out for the series.

And you must admit, Jack doesn't have anything new to say, EVER.

His dialogue consists mostly of "damn it chloe" to "you have to trust me"

For me it feels like it's the same every season.

Just tossing in a few cents is all. : )
