This film is poor.  Very poor.  Head scratching poor.  Glance over to a friend half-way through poor.

Who gave this the green light?  Fess up.

If you ever have played Max Payne the game, then you kinda know what to expect.  The story in a nutshell is: Soldiers+Experiment+Drugs+Scientist=Bad Scenario.

Max is a broken man, seeking vengence.  He's a badass.  He's a part-time cop, when he wants to be.

Those flying angel/demon things in the advert you see.  Pointless.  Serves no purpose in the film.

The ending is bad.  Just bad.  Time slows down.  An attempt of bullet-time like the game, sprinkled throughout the film.  The ending if in normal speed lasts about five seconds.  Director thinks, 'we need a filler'.  Hmmm, lets slow it down, BANG.  Story ends.

If they only copied the game.  It would seem a little bit more interesting.

The film is a 3/10.  Get's the three because the cinematography was nice in parts.

We perhaps need a national announcement to apologize for this mistake.  Maybe we can bury this atrocity before word gets out?

Yeah, really don't think I'll see this flick. Haven't heard good things about, and I read the script and can't say I was too impressed. Plus, I don't want the game ruined for me.

In my eyes, the only positive aspect of this film is that it stars both Mila Kunis and Olga Kurylenko, who are absolutely stunning. But still, I don't any amount of sexy ladies can save this film.

I have to agree jayrex.

From the moment it started i never got into it, i was also confused through parts of it  for example: those demon angels and the blue drug thing, i never got that (Maybe thats cause i never played the game).

One of the things that bothered me in the film was, the part when max paynes badge was found at the murder scene, shouldn't he be arrested for the suspicion of murder? or be taken in for questioning?

As for the ending i don't remember much of it cause i fell asleep, and trust me i never fall asleep in films but for this one i did.

I think 3/10 is just right.
