My favourite Anglophile depraved puppet show has returned! This show deserved a second season. The new production looks fantastic! If the show had less Brit in jokes, BBC America would snatch this up in a tick. I wonder if F/X's success with "Willard" could lead to an import or remake.
And did I forget to mention the NSFW musical numbers?

I don't think I've been looking forward to a show coming back as much as this in a long time. The first series was good, the second was excellent.
The first episode of series three disappointed me. I guess my problem with it was quite simple though... Rudy. In fairness it's always going to be tough to replace a character as good as Nathan, but Rudy didn't quite cut it. Although he was as obnoxious as Nathan he didn't have any real charm or likeability to back it up. He was just wet. But that may just be my opinion.
The second episode was much better though and I look forward to seeing where they take us this time.
As for Mongrels it had never really appealed to me, but maybe I should check it out.
Mongrels is good - Misfits is better. That's the show I'm really happy to see back on.
Hey Jonny,
Thanks for the recommend, but Misfits is a misfire for me. I kinda threw in the towel four episodes into season one. It felt a little too random and stagnant for me, but I dig the premise. The cloud effect made little sense, the plot was slapdash, IMO. As sweet as the old lady getting a brief chance at youth was, it made no sense. The "powers" are whatever they want to concoct for an episode plot. I like the actors and characters, but the story didn't hook me.
Cheers, E.D.

Mongrels looks like fun stuff, I'll have to check it out. Though if we're talking about underrated British comedy, my all time favourite is "I am not an animal". It's older but it's classic.

Ack! They interrupt the episode with commercials! It's the same production company that makes, "The Might Boosh". So, I'm in!

Season two of Mongrels wrapped up this week. I'm sorry to say they've gone the Family Guy route with the storytelling.
Why is it so many shows devolve into cutaway random humor skits? Are they so bereft of story ideas that they need to pad their material? Damn you, Seth and your slovenly contagious cash grab antics!
Still, there were some good laughs and inappropriate songs!
