It is amazing to me how Playstation Network is getting these movies before they're even released. I just watched The Bay tonight too, psst (thumbs down).

I really dug this. Eric Bana and Olivia Wilde had a seriously fuckered up brother and sister relationship. They crash after their heist, they split up. she meets a guy, the perfect guy to help them get to Canada. And falls in love with him.

Meanwhile, Bana is killing and doing whatever he can to survive, but in the midst of it, he helps a small family in the mountains. An antag with a bit of heart. I like that.

It all comes to a great conclusion when they end up a Wilde's new boyfriends house. But, to me, It was those little calms before the storms. It was nice character development, yeah the drinking, abusive fathers will always be cliche, but there's more than that.

Just gonna leave it at that, it is worth checking out IMO.

Hey James,

Haven't seen Deadfall yet, but it looked like pretty good pulp.
I did catch The Bay, being a Barry Levinson movie and all.
I can see why it's being swept under the carpet. Meh.

Checked this ditty out over the weekend.
Considerable talent moderately wasted in this heist grinder.

There was flashes of color in the characters.
And the scenes always kept moving at a decent clip.

Doesn't quite reach the sympathetic villain level of Devil's Rejects.
My biggest problem was the overwrought snowmobile action.
I hadn't been that bored with those devices since Die Hard 2.
Loved all the snow sequences too, looked like they shot it live.

I wish it had a a little more going on, but it was a pretty decent ride.
