This is such a great movie and it only makes me love Guy Pearce even more. I'm totally stunned that I have never heard of this film until about a week ago. Seriously, this is one of my all time favorite films. Just a great piece of cinema. Outstanding film. If you haven't seen it, please do.

This is one of my fave anti-Westerns, right next to Unforgiven.
Nick Cave's script has that Jodorowsky vibe without all the narrative molasses.
I appreciated that degree of clarity over the earlier director's style.
Next to Ravenous, this one of my favorite Pearce performances.

Sadly, I've really not connected with the director's follow up films.
The Road and Lawless were so heavy handed, they did zip for me.

Good one, Zack!

Regards,
E.D.

I agree Zack!

An excellent movie. I came across it a couple months back and quickly fell in love with it.
