Very simple story. A British soldier gets stuck behind Catholic lines back in 71 and has to survive.

One thing I noted about this film was the shooting style. Maybe a little too much lens flare on occasion, but most of the time it served the story well. The camera never stopped moving which added to the fast-paced feel. You're running along with him. The acting is also incredible, particularly from the lead, Jack O'Connell, whose films are all excellent.

Saw it a few months back.

I felt the first half was good. Lost steam in the second.

Thought it was average overall. But it was nicely shot and I especially liked the scene at the bar.

This was a great movie IMO.

I've watched most of Jack O'Connell's work, still have to get around to watching Unbroken.

I liked this a little better than Starred up.  He'll always be Cookie to me tho, lol, even tho he's getting away from that now.

Was an evil bastard in Eden Lake.
